My 5 Step Process – The Complete Package
Step 1 – Information Gathering Session
Determining your design style is the first step of any project. I approach this initial phase by conducting an information gathering meeting to gauge your preferences and learn more about the functionality of the space(s). The meeting is typically an hour in length. Following this session, I request that you start pinning inspiration images on your Pinterest board that I’ve created for you. We will then review the images over a 30 minute call and discuss what you like and dislike so that I can walk away with the information needed to create distinct moodboards.

Step 2 – Moodboard Selection
Reviewing moodboards allows you to compare design styles to determine which option you want to go with for your project. I will pull together examples of furniture, decor, art, paint, etc. so that you get a visual snapshot of the style options you can select from. We will review the boards over a call so you can ask questions.

Step 3 – Design Concepts & Floorplan Review
Concept boards and floorplans provide you with a more literal vision of your space. I will create a new spaceplan for your room(s) and layout the pieces in the room within a concept board so that you can see how the room will come together visually. Depending on the scope of the project, I will most likely provide you with 2-3 design concepts and floorplans so that you have multiple options to select from. During the process, I am here to address any questions you may have and make revisions based on your feedback.

Step 4 – Initial Design Presentation+ Inventory List
During this phase of the design process, I will present your selected floorplan and design direction in a visual mockup. I will also provide you with a complete inventory list including my recommendations and additional options of: furniture, decor, rugs, lighting, etc. You will have the opportunity to provide me with feedback and ask questions along the way.
Step 5 – Revised Design Presentation + Inventory List
Based on revision requests from step 4, I will put together a final revised design presentation – including an updated inventory list and visual mockup. This is the last step of the design process.
